Lewis-Clark State College Scholarships: Application Guide

There are many scholarships available to students attending Lewis-Clark State College. Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria, including financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement.

The LC State Higher Education Office offers a variety of institutional scholarships, out-of-state tuition scholarship waivers, and outside funding opportunities. Many scholarships are available for majors, minority teams, new freshmen, transfer students, and non-traditional students.

Lewis-Clark State College administers the majority of scholarship funds through the Lewis-Clark State College Scholarship Portal. The portal supplies one centralized application, regardless of a student’s primary or field of study. The application is open to incoming and continuing LC State students who possess an LC State Student ID number.

Students can apply for scholarships through the college’s financial aid office or online. The deadline for scholarship applications is March 1st.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Fresh students from all countries are welcome to apply.
  •  Interested candidates should submit a one-page written statement describing their academic goals and reasons for choosing LCSC.
  • Students must satisfy the following requirements: maintain a 2.5 semester GPA, complete 12 or more credits each semester and volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per semester.
  • Maintain a minimum 5-semester grade point average.
  • Enroll in 12 or more credits each semester.
  • Volunteer at least 10 hours per semester.
  • Are not fully-funded by any sponsoring agency
  • Are not already on a full out-of-state tuition scholarship

Merit-based aid, or non-need-based aid, is awarded for a skill or accomplishment that merits it. The average annual non-need-based scholarship or grant awarded to first-year students at Lewis & Clark College including all athletic scholarships, if applicable, was $26,699.

Does Clark University give full scholarships?

Clark awards up to five Presidential Scholarships each year to exceptionally talented students with superior academic records and exemplary leadership potential. Students will be awarded the scholarship for four years and receive full tuition, on-campus housing, and all living expenses regardless of their financial needs.

Application Procedure

Lewis-Clark State College administers scholarship funds primarily via the Lewis-Clark State College Scholarship Portal. The portal hosts one unified general scholarship application process, regardless of a student’s specialization or field of study. All students who are incoming or continuing with an LC State Student ID Number can enter the application. 

  • If you want to apply for admissions, apply now with the Admissions Office. Once you have applied, you should receive your LC State Student ID Number in less than 12 days.
  • On the link to the Scholarships and Waivers page, you will find the Scholarship Portal. The Scholarship Portal contains the Scholarship Library and the Scholarship Application.
  • Once you have been granted admission and received your Student ID number, you can set up an account and submit a scholarship application. 
  • You will also need to access your LCMail account in order to complete your scholarship portal account. The application is accessible to all incoming and continuing LC State students

NOTE: All scholarships require a General Application, paper or online, which must be submitted by the March 1 deadline. The International Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship is a renewable semester award.
