Overview of Alberta, Canada

Alberta is one of the thirteen provinces and territories in Canada. It is one of the three prairie provinces and a part of Western Canada. British Columbia, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories (NWT), and the U.S. state of Montana are all about Alberta to the west, east, north, and south, respectively.

The Great Plains occupy the province’s eastern portion, and the Rocky Mountains border the western region. Although the county primarily has a continental climate, air aridity causes rapid temperature swings.
