Fees & Funding

Can I request a transfer of units if HKBU offers me admission to MScCGC?

Yes, students may request for transfer of unit for up to two courses if HKBU offers them admission to MScCGC.

However, this applies to two factors;

  1. The recommendation of the MScCGC Programme Director
  2. Special permission from the Director of Graduate School

These students are eligible for transfer of units if they have completed relevant and comparable courses from a recognized institution no more than eight years before commencing their studies at the University. However, the University has the right to withhold units from academic courses not comparable to University courses and for courses with grades that are lower than the equivalent of a “B-” in the University grading scale.

Do I need to pay the tuition for the exempt courses?

Yes, students must pay the tuition fees for all required courses even if they receive a transfer of units (exemption) for any of these courses. This is because the MScCGC Program uses a programme-based system.

Which type of visa do I require to study in Hong Kong?
