Hankuk University of Foreign Studies is a South Korean private university located in Seoul. The university was founded by Kim Heung-bae in 1954.   • Entrance Scholarship: the prize money varies from 1 to 1.6 million Korean won per semester
  • General Scholarship: The value also ranges from about 1 to 3 million Korean won per semester
  • Assistantship: The assistantship award is valued at about 4 million Korean won per semester
  • HFUS Alumni Scholarship: The award money is around 3 to 4 million Korean won per semester.
  • KIEP Scholarship: The scholarship is worth 3 to 5 million Korean paid per semester
  • UPEACE Scholarship: The UPEACE scholarship is divided into three categories UPEACE scholarships I, II, III, and IV respectively. The UPEACE scholarship I covers full tuition, II and IV cover half tuition, and III is a monetary sum of 1.5 to 2.2 million Korean won.

There is no predefined number of awards to be given out by the university. For the UPEACE Scholarships though, there are only 3 awards for 3 students who obtain excellent scores in each category. It is however advised to apply early to increase your chances of getting chosen.

          There are several scholarships offered by Hankuk University of Foreign studies. Most Hankuk of these scholarships are given based on academic performance. That is, they are merit-based and given to students with outstanding academic results. Some of these merits include;
