#1. Access Scholarships

The GMIT Access Scholarship is a partially funded scholarship valued at €5000 awarded to 12 students every academic year. The scholarship opportunity is to support students who are from socio-economically or other disadvantaged backgrounds or those who are faced with difficult personal circumstances. The scholarship is provided in increments throughout the study program. Also, applicants may be qualified for a reduced points offer of about 50 CAO points, subject to availability. The scholarships are available for both full-time and part-time students.

#2. Special Sports and Cultural Achievement (SSCA) Scheme

The Special Sports and Cultural Achievement Scheme is a unique entry scheme targeted at those who have contributed significantly to cultural activities and are outstanding sportspersons. Other places are reserved for applicants committed to developing their artistic, sporting, and academic careers.

#3. Non-EU Scholarships

The Non-EU Scholarships offered at the GMIT are 30% tuition fee discounts available for Non-EU students at the institution. So, applicants must provide recognition of English language attainment and proof of country of origin for application.

#4. Trane Technologies STEM Career Pathway Scholarships

The Trane Technologies STEM Career Pathway Scholarships are partially funded scholarships for two female students taking engineering courses. The scholarship opportunities support female students pursuing stem-related education and create a better female representation in stem-related careers. 

The 4-year scholarship program seeks to reduce some limitations to professional and academic success. Trane Technologies will provide annual funding of €6,000 to successful students for the duration of their degree programs. 

#5. Sanctuary Scholarship

The Sanctuary Scholarships are fully-funded scholarships available for students in the International Protection System in Ireland. The opportunity is for the students having an undergraduate education for the first time and is not qualified for state support.
