Only one student will be selected as a beneficiary of the Basque Center of Applied Mathematics Scholarship from the pool of applications submitted.

Applicable Courses

The scholarship is no doubt open to all Africans with Ph.D but your course must be related to Computational Mathematics or applied mathematics.



Eligibility Criteria

  • You stand a better chance to be considered for the scholarship award if you fulfill the under-listed eligibility criteria:
  • You should be a holder of Ph.D.in applied mathematics or computer science
  • You should a wealth of knowledge and experience in computational mathematics. Also an expert in software development for distributed memory architectures. 
  • You should have   Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You should be to present research ideas to researchers with different background such as mathematicians and engineers effectively. 
  • You should have the ability to present and publish research findings comprehensively.
  • Your command of verbal and written English should be top-notch
  • You should have Research experience and interest in adaptive FEM in a high-performance scientific computing setting, 
  • You should have skills in computational methods.
  • Expert in Programming competence in C++ and Python.

Is BCAM Scholarship open to all?

Yes, It is open to all international and domestic students regardless of their sex but you be sensitive to the eligibility criteria.

Is BCAM Scholarship renewable?

The scholarship is valid for two years and it is not renewable.

Can I work in Spain as a beneficiary of the BCAM Scholarship?

You can work if you have the necessary permit to work in the country as an international student who is in a fellowship program.

If you are a student from EU/EEA you should budget 2,600 EUR and aboard. Non-EU/EEA/should budget up to  4,300 EUR per year.
