Every year, scholarships are given to students during the academic evaluation phase as part of the admission process of a course of study in the institution. Scholarships offered at Aalto University 

The scholarship offered at Aalto University can either be a tuition fee waiver, Aalto University Incentive Scholarship Programme, or Finland Scholarship for Master’s students

#1. Aalto tuition fee waiver

The university offers tuition waivers in two categories (Category A and Category B). Category A provides a full scholarship to cover 100% of student tuition fees. However, the Category B scholarship offers 50% of the student’s tuition fees.

It is noteworthy that the university does not offer university-wide scholarships to cover student living costs in Finland. Therefore, students will have to cover their study-related costs and living expenses. The cost of living in Finland is about $800 monthly.

#2. Aalto University Incentive Scholarship Programme

Aalto University gives incentive-based scholarships to students paying tuition fees (either partial or complete fees). The incentive is worth €1,500 and is a form of reward given to outstanding students for making progress in their studies.

To stand a chance, students must complete at least 60 ECTS credits in an academic year in agreement with the approved personal study plan.

Note that the scholarship is awarded in the following Autumn term or upon graduation (if applicable).

#3. Finland Scholarship for Master students

Aalto University awards the Finland Scholarship for Master’s students as part of the Scholarship Programme offered by Finland. The Ministry of Education and Culture funds the scholarship, and it runs for two consecutive years.

The scholarship is based on merit and available for non-EU/EEA students at Aalto University. For every scholarship award, the applicants are carefully scrutinized and evaluated based on their study options.

You must provide answers to questions in the form to determine your eligibility. Upon successful application, the institution will make decisions to consider you for the scholarship.
